What works

Hard items that survive luggage (nuts, dried fruit, jerky). Sandwiches eaten on first leg. Pre-packed fruit. Refillable water bottle through security.

What doesn't

Anything that needs refrigeration. Liquids over 100ml through security. Items prohibited by destination customs.
